Gamsugul Batdam Path FAQ
Where does Gamsugul Batdam Path start?
It starts at Jungdong Village Hall in Pyeongdae-ri. It is always open, free to enter, and has parking.
Why were the batdam of Gamsugul Batdam Path built?
They are walls of the stones that came up when the fields were tilled, stacked around the field edges to protect crops from the wind and to keep livestock out of the fields. There are gaps between the stones, so the walls do not easily collapse even in a typhoon.
