Oedolgae FAQ
Can you visit Oedolgae after sunset?
It is always open and has no closed days, but visiting before sunset is recommended.
Why is Oedolgae also called Janggunseok?
It is because of a legend that when General Choe Yeong fought the Yuan army, he dressed this rock up as a general so that the enemy troops collapsed on their own. The name Oedolgae comes from its look of standing alone above the sea.
